TOP MANUFACTURERS OF CORROSION PREVENTION TECHNOLOGY ANNOUNCE MERGER
BURR RIDGE, IL (April, 2004) - Two leading manufacturers of corrosion inhibitor technology announce plans to merge and form a new company. The action joins Daubert VCI, Inc., and Cromwell-Phoenix, Inc., considered the two most respected, highest quality manufacturers of corrosion inhibitor products for industry.
“The new Daubert Cromwell Company combines the highest quality VCI products with the best in customer service,” said Francis J. Houlihan, the new President and CEO. “This merger represents tremendous opportunities to become the best, most responsive source for corrosion prevention products anywhere in the world.” Daubert Industries, Inc., President and CEO M. Lawrence Garman added, “Both companies will benefit. The merger of Daubert VCI and Cromwell-Phoenix will result in a much stronger competitor than if each company operated independently.” Daubert VCI, Inc. and Cromwell-Phoenix, Inc., have been pioneers of volatile corrosion inhibitors (VCI) technology since the 1940’s. Both have developed unique brands of VCI packaging papers, films, liquids, and devices that are used worldwide. Merging their manufacturing and technological expertise is expected to stimulate new corrosion solutions for the automotive, military, heavy equipment, electronics, primary steel and other markets where corrosion prevention is crucial. Daubert Cromwell Co. has extensive distribution networks in the US and in 26 countries. |
